Ari + Greg are two of the most genuine people I have ever met. This session felt more like a hangout with friends than anything else. Which is how it should feel, in my opinion. When Ari reached out to me, it was important to her that these photos feel authentic to their story. They’ve been together for 8 years and share a love for sneakers. Ari has a plethora of sneakers, each important to her in their own way. In her words, “each sneaker tells a different story.” Because of this, she really wanted to incorporate some shots of her + Greg in a sneaker shop around Soho. I instantly loved this idea. So we started this shoot on the streets of Soho, laughing + talking about life, tea recipes and Virgil, a fashion icon who had recently passed. And ended the shoot, at a local sneaker shop. Basically, it was a perfect morning hanging with friends.
